About
An independent reference that grades crypto exchanges on what they can prove.
Last updated October 21, 2026
KripZen grades crypto exchanges A to F on five things a customer can check: proof of reserves, custody, licensing, loss cover and incident record. Every grade is built from the exchange’s own published documents and public regulator registers, with the date we checked them and links to the sources.
What you will find here
- A rating report for every graded exchange, with its licences, base fees and sources
- Lists built on one stated rule, such as lowest published fees or most licences
- A record of major exchange failures and what each one taught
- Plain-language guides, coin guides, a glossary in eight languages and free calculators
What we are not
We are not an exchange, a broker or an adviser. You cannot deposit or trade here, and nothing on KripZen is a recommendation to buy or sell anything. We do not open accounts or test exchanges with our own money: our work is desk research from primary sources.
How the site is paid for
Some links to exchanges can be partner links that pay us a commission if you open an account. They are labelled, shown only where promotion is allowed, and never change a grade or a list. Advertising is marked as advertising. The details are in our affiliate disclosure and editorial policy.
Who writes it
Content is produced by KripZen’s editorial desks, credited on each page and described on the authors page. If you spot an error, tell us and we will check it against the source.
Risk
Crypto-assets are volatile and largely unprotected, and you can lose all the money you put in. A grade describes what an exchange discloses; it does not say your money is safe there.
What we do
- Publish independent safety reviews, scored the same way for every exchange
- Credit every report and guide to the desk that wrote it
- Disclose every commission we earn, on every page where it applies
- Tell you plainly when we haven't verified something yet
What we don't do
- Custody, hold or move your funds — we're not an exchange
- Let payment change a rating, ranking or verdict
- Hide a partner's weaknesses to protect a commission
- Fabricate a score for an exchange we haven't actually reviewed
